Here you can find out a bit about what I have been doing in my arty life and sometimes see news about where you can see my work.

Realisations at the end of a series
I have finished my series of willow herb paintings and have named then Fireweed – you can see them here. Fireweed is another name for willow herb, because the plant loves to colonise ground where there has been a fire, or where the earth has been disturbed.

Scaling up….at last!
Since my last blog where I shared some photographs of willow herb, I have been painting those same plants over and over again. Actually, to be more accurate I have drawn the outlines then painted them. I have loved it. The mixture of line and painting is interesting.

Early summer inspiration
I want to share with you the sheer joy I felt over the late May Bank holiday weekend here in Glasgow, and how it has inspired me to start a new series of paintings.
